How to write effective affirmations
During your journey of using law of assumption-related techniques to manifest your dreams and goals, one of the most important things to do is to create your personal positive affirmations, and repeat them again and again through one or more methods that work best for you. In this post, I will talk about some rules to follow when creating your own affirmations.
Here are them:
(1): Ideally, each of your affirmations should be short in 1-2 sentences, making it easy for your subconscious mind to pick up and be familiar with the rhythm through repeatition. In other words, if your affirmation is way too long, and it takes forever for you to write it down, it will be more challenging for you to memorize it. As you get better and better at manifestating, you can try more advanced techniques such as visualization or come up with a vivid, colorful, and complex narrative story on your mind to turn your goals into the 3D reality. I will share more about visualization and creation of narrative stories in future blog posts. But for now, let’s focus on techniques to write effective affirmations. For example, if you want to manifest a more harmonious relationship with your daughter, perhaps you can write your affirmation this way: My daughter loves me deeply. I have always had a loving, and supportive relationship with her. Simple, right;)?
(2): If you want to manifest very specific things, you can write your affirmation in a specific way. For health-related affirmations, let’s say someone has a heart issue and is told by his doctor that he needs to do a surgery to get his heart fixed. He can write his affirmation this way: “ I have always had perfect health. The scar inside my heart has already been healed.” The same person can repeat this affirmation for 15 minutes in the morning when he wakes up, and for another 15 minutes before he goes to bed. He can even record himself saying this affirmation with his own voice, and plays the tape at night when he goes to sleep. To visualize a perfect heart image during the day time, and counter his negative thought about his heart issue by teling himself “ Stop it. My heart has been healed” whenever he thinks negatively also work…
(3): The most important part of your affirmations is: they have to sound natural to you! Better write them in a way that sounds exactly like how you communicate with your friends, family, and lovers! I cannot emphasize this enough: Your affirmations have to sound NATURAL to you. If you work at your dream job, or has already been admitted by your 1st choice graudate program, how will you share this wonderful news with your friends;)? Think about this, and then write down your affirmations. Don’t get obsessed with the exact wordings of others’ affirmations, and/or simply write the same affirmations as what others did. Each of us talk differently. What works for others may not work for you. So, think about your own communicational style, and write your affirmations like how you normally talk.
(4): Write your affirmations in a way that tell yourself what your desire is happening, or has already happened, rather than something WILL happen. One of the main ideas from the Law of Assumption is: you think, and act like what your desire has ALREADY happened. And through repetition of your affirmations, and think in your favor consistently regardless of how your feel and/or what you see, you will get your manifestations! For example, if you want to manifest a promotion from your current job with more incomes, instead of saying: I will get promoted very soon, and my job will bring me more money. You can write your affirmation like this: I have been promoted, and I have so much money now!
(5): Better write your affirmations in a positive tone without any mentions of failures or disappointments. You want to manifest the best interview result;)? Your affirmation can be: I do so well in the interview, and I get the job! Instead of saying: I do not fail this important interview.
(6): One fun part of your affirmation is: You do not have to believe it, because what matters is you repeat it consistently everyday! If you believe in your affirmation, that’s great! More power to you;). If not, then don’t overthink, and don’t purposely force yourself to believe in them. The key is, regardless of your belief/or disbelief in your affirmations, you repeat them daily, and tell yourself they are already here! Repetition and persistence are the key to success. Once your subconscious mind is so familiar with your repeated affirmations, it will accept them as the truth, and you will attract the people and circumstances that benefit you/help you gain success.
That’s all about affirmations for now;). I will help you to design affirmations that fit you if you decide to work with me!
