The importance of self-concept in your manifestation journey

It has been three months since I wrote on this blog section. I have been quite busy with my own research work for the past few months, but things are good for me as usual;). I presented my research at some international conferences and receive nothing but high compliments; I also traveled to several cities in Thailand with a few friends for my vacation. I manifested an online refugee friend’s success in receiving a huge amount of donations from people from all over the world so that she got to study in a new country. Yay! I also manifested getting long messages from two long-term friends who I haven’t heard from for a while, and so much more.

We are reaching the end of 2024. How has this year treated you? In what ways do the law of assumption improve your life this year, and all the years before? And, what are your hopes and dreams for the year of 2025? Write down your goals for 2025, and speak and act like all of these goals have already been achieved RIGHT NOW! You got this;).

As promised, I will write about what self-concept is in manifestation journey, and some techniques to improve your overall self-concept in this blog post…..

Self-Concept, to say it simply, refers to your overall belief system about yourself. It includes, but is not limited to: your belief in your values, goals, personal strengths, and so on. Other than the importance of staying consistently/sticking to the new story with a disciplined mind, and the use of repetition, I consider self-concept one of the, if not the most vital element in manifestation! With a strong self-concept that reaches to your subconscious mind, including the unshakable belief that you always manifest effortlessly and instantly, you can achieve so soooo much! For those ones with a not-so-strong self-concept, they may doubt their manifestation ability often, change techniques after techniques frequently without realizing that it’s all about maintaining the mental state of having everything all already consistently, not about the particular techniques!

Self-concept in the context of manifestation, from my personal opinion, can be summarized into the following three parts:

(A): Your deeply-rooted belief regarding your overall manifestation ability. Do you sincerely trust that you are more than capable of manifesting positive things and people easily, or you are still full of self-doubts? You’ve read enough successful manifestation stories from others, and what makes you fear that you are not one of the successful cases? In general, you don’t have to believe in your manifestation (as I said in some of my previous posts), because the repetition itself can lead to powerful effects. When you repeat your affirmations often enough daily without much thinking and resistance, then you CAN get your manifestation. But it helps much more if you have a strong self-concept with the belief that manifestation is so easy for you.

(B): Your self-worth in all areas of your life. From a subconscious level, do you truly believe that you deserve all the amazing things in your imagination? Do you trust that you can get your dream house, best career, loyal soulmate, and multiple vacation chances yearly? Or you are affected by the limiting beliefs in our society, so you are like most other people: Oh, that sounds too good to be true! That’s impossible. Life cannot be that good for me. Or, you are still traumatized by your painful past experiences and believe that you cannot get out of the toxic mental and behavioral pattern? The truth is, your current and your future life do not need to be determined by your past. When you change your thought pattern, your behavioral pattern can change to be better as a result. And, things can shift towards the positive direction at anytime!

(C): Your confident level in your life choice, including how easy it is for you to change thoughts or decisions based on different people’s opinions. Remember, my dear, you are the creator, selector, and the main character in your OWN life! You use your manifesting ability for good - to manifest positive things for yourself, your loved ones, and all the marginalized people in your own community and all over the world~ No outside sources, or no one else, can take your power away from you. It’s one thing to respect and carefully listen to and evaluate opinions from your long-term trustworthy friends/family members or your manifestation coach/therapist who you have been working with for a while with positive results already shown, and change your direction slightly with the consideration of their advice, but, if you are easily influenced by opinions from all types of people without a determined heart, you have to ask yourself: Why I am like this? Where is my self-concept? Why do I believe a tarot reader’s readings only after a 10-minute consultation with her, rather than my own manifestation ability?? Why?

For those ones who want to manifest more easily, remember to work on your self-concept if you still doubt about whether you can achieve everything you dream of. Self-concept is the key. So, how to improve your overall self-concept? I offer the following suggestions.

(1): As always, repetition is the key. Every day, before you repeat your affirmations, you add 1-2 things about your overall self-concept. It can be sentences like: I have a high self-concept. I deserve a beautiful life and are capable of getting everything easily. I am living my best life right now! Say it in a natural way that sounds like how you usually talk.

(2): With the help of a trustworthy therapist/manifestation coach with background in mental health counseling/social work, figure out the root cause of your insecurity (doing shadow work). I talked about what shadow work is in my previous blog post…For deeply traumatized people who get nervous easily, I want to say: I am sorry our deeply unjust social system has failed you before. With collective positive power, we manifest for a much better world and will do whatever we can to improve our world as well! Be gentle with yourself. You will get your manifestation. Shadow work is worthy doing.

(3): For those ones who don’t or cannot work with a therapist/coach for now, I suggest you listening to highly recommended manifestation YouTubers and/or following a few manifestation twitter accounts (and reading their posts about self-concept carefully, and applying!!) It’s not helpful to follow way too many users to the point of overwhelming yourself…I suggest only following 1 to AT MOST 3 accounts. AND, do your own research about who to follow! The chance is, for highly recommended manifestation accounts with so much positive feedback, they probably talk about self-concept! Because, self-concept is the key in manifestation.

(4): The power of a supportive community (community help) can never be ignored. We can do so much better with the help, love and support of a community! Again, do your own research, and join a manifestation community with a few supportive users. The community better not be too large. I myself prefer small communities than those ones with way too many users…Or, if any of your irl friends know about manifestation/law of assumption and are genuinely interested in manifesting with you together, that’s even better;). The community members better meet up/talk on a regular basis, like once in 2-3 weeks, or more frequently if that’s possible. One thing everyone can do is: To talk/text as if everyone’s manifestations have already been achieved!! That way, everyone immerse themselves into the scenes of already having everything whenever they talk/meet…

(5): If possible, go somewhere close to the nature, do meditation, and keep telling yourself that your self-concept is unbreakable. Trees, glasses, flowers, and birds are our friends. When we lay down or sit on a park, close eyes, and keep reminding ourselves that our self-concept is so high and literally nothing can ever ruin our manifestations, we create a strong vibration;)). Nature helps people stay calm…
