Personal reflections on sexual health

Other than posting tips related to manifestation and the law of assumption, I also use my blog to talk about my reflections on a wide range of topics that interest me;).

I want to re-post a post about sexual health, written by me seveal months ago.

____

Other than working at my current field, I can also image myself being a sexual health educator who provides comprehensive, and LGBTQ -affirming sex education to sexual and gender minorities πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ out there.

There’s so much fear , anxiety, and misconceptions around sex.

Sex education is not just about SIT/Pregnancy rate reduction ( aka harm reductions); it’s also about learning the techniques to communicate with your partners directly, honestly, and empathically , and learning to negotiate and establish healthy boundaries πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ. Sex education is also about providing affordable, anonymous STI screenings, and healthcare to people with certain lifelong health conditions πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ.

And honestly, if I were a sex educator, I wouldn’t mind sharing my personal experience to educate more people on how to take care of their own sexual health, especially the importance of asking to get checked for certain tests when the majority often forget to do so πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œβ€οΈ.

Comprehensive, trauma-informed, consent-focus, and LGBTQ-affirming sex education still has a looooong way to go.
